Job summary

Socorro Wellness & Rehabilitation is seeking an Activity Assistant to support the Activity Director in assessing, selecting, organizing, and implementing activity/recreational services tailored to residents' needs and interests.

The role involves helping run programs—from arts and crafts to community outings—while encouraging participation and maintaining proper activity documentation in compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Activities Certification preferred.
• One-year experience working in long term care.
• One year of experience conducting social/recreational programs within the past five years, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in developing and delivering activity/recreational programs to promote residents' engagement and functioning.
• Encourages resident participation in group and individual activities (arts/crafts, outings, religious, educational, community service, recreation).
• Assists in completing activity documentation per regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Submits supplies list to Activity/Recreation Director and receipts for expenditures.
