Job summary

Lexington Premier Nursing & Rehab is seeking a compassionate Activities Assistant to enhance residents' quality of life through engaging recreational and therapeutic activities. You will plan and facilitate a variety of programs to support physical, emotional, and social well-being.

You will collaborate with nursing and therapy teams to tailor activities, document participation, and ensure safety and a welcoming environment that encourages resident involvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine enthusiasm for working with seniors.
• Ability to plan, organize, and lead diverse activities and programs.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Activity Planning and Implementation: Develop and organize a variety of activities tailored to residents' interests, abilities, and needs.
• Resident Interaction: Build positive relationships with residents and families to understand preferences and encourage participation.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of resident participation and outcomes of activities.
• Collaboration: Work with nursing staff and therapists to coordinate care and program improvements.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure activities comply with facility policies and promote a safe environment.
