Job summary

Cal Poly Maritime Academy in Vallejo, CA seeks Residence Life Department Assistants (Solano Campus) to provide administrative and logistical support, handle guest check-ins, phone and email inquiries, and assist with daily operations of the Residence Life Office and halls. The RLDA role requires strong customer service, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently within a team.

Hours up to 20 per week, with a schedule aligning with open hours (8am-8pm) and seasonal peak

Qualifications

Knowledge of Residence Life and campus living experience.
Strong commitment to customer service and ability to assist diverse residents.
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
Comfort with using office software and campus systems.

Responsibilities

Assist Residence Life with front desk duties: greeting guests, answering calls and emails.
Support daily operations of the Residence Life Office and residence halls.
Coordinate data entry, documentation, and reporting for daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
Operate office and key management systems as trained.
Assist with move-in/out processes and room changes as needed.
Provide escorting services and support for facilities maintenance and events.
