Job summary

Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. is seeking a Construction Technician to join the Customer Engineering team.

This residence-based role requires 75% travel across the southern United States, with the ideal candidate based in North Carolina or Northern South Carolina. You will install cryogenic and gaseous product storage, processing, and delivery equipment at customer sites, read technical drawings, and uphold rigorous safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Trade/technical degree or apprenticeship preferred but not required.
• Ability to pass DOT physical and road test; valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Travel up to 75% of the time; requires safety-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Install product storage, processing, and delivery equipment at customer sites, including cryogenic tanks, pumps, and piping.
• Maintain extremely high safety standards on site and while driving company-provided vehicle.
• Supervise crane contractors and serve as Lift Supervisor for lifts up to 600 Standard Tons.
• Demonstrate brazing techniques and pressure testing of piping.
• Read engineering drawings and electrical/control schematics; ensure proper documentation and cost reporting.
