Job summary

Air Products is seeking a Construction Technician to join our Customer Engineering team. This residence-based role requires 75% travel across the southern United States. Based in North Carolina or northern South Carolina, you will install and commission cryogenic and gaseous storage systems at customer sites.

You’ll read technical drawings, perform startup, maintenance and repair, and supervise crane lifts while maintaining the highest safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum HS diploma or GED required; trade/technical degree preferred but not required.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and road test; valid driver’s license with clean record.
• 75% travel to customer sites; strong safety focus and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install product storage, processing, and delivery equipment at customer sites.
• Read engineering drawings and schematics; perform startup, maintenance, and repair.
• Supervise crane lifts and coordinate contractor activities; rigging and lifting procedures.
• Ensure high safety standards and professional communication with customers.
• Provide ongoing field support and documentation for projects.
