Job summary

Air Products seeks a Construction Technician to join the Customer Engineering team. The role is residence-based with 75% travel across the southern United States; base in North Carolina or Northern South Carolina.

You will install cryogenic and gas storage systems, read technical drawings, and ensure safety while delivering equipment at customer sites. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, understands piping and tanks for LOX/LN2/Argon/Hydrogen/CO2, and can manage crane-related

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Trade/technical degree or apprenticeship preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• 75% travel required.
• Class A CDL preferred but not required.
• Ability to pass DOT physical.
• Safety-focused.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to read technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Install storage, processing, and delivery equipment at customer sites.
• Operate and maintain cryogenic/gaseous systems; read drawings.
• Supervise crane contractors and act as Lift Supervisor.
• Braze and test piping; ensure safe handling of tools.
• Report materials and labor costs accurately.
• Provide ongoing maintenance support in the region.
