Job summary

Air Products is seeking a Construction Technician to join the Customer Engineering team. This residence-based role requires 75% travel across the southern U.S. region, with a base in North Carolina or nearby.

You will install cryogenic and gaseous storage systems, read technical drawings, and supervise crane lifts while maintaining strict safety standards. The role demands strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, hand-tool proficiency, and excellent customer communication.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Trade/technical degree or apprenticeship preferred but not required.
• Ability to pass a service/pickup truck road test and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Install product storage, processing, and delivery equipment at customer sites.
• Read engineering drawings, flow sheets, and piping schematics.
• Supervise crane contractors and serve as Lift Supervisor for lifts up to 600 tons.
• Perform installation, pressure testing, brazing, and start-up support.
• Maintain highest safety standards while on sites and while driving company vehicle.
