Job summary

Air Products is seeking a Construction Technician for a residence-based role with 75% travel across the southern United States. Based in North Carolina or northern South Carolina, you will install cryogenic and gaseous product storage systems, read technical drawings, and ensure safety in all field activities.

You will work on liquid oxygen, nitrogen, argon, hydrogen, and carbon dioxide systems, coordinating crane operations, procurement, startup support, and customer training while maintaining

Qualifications

• Must pass a service/pickup truck road test and DOT physical.
• Proficient with all hand tools.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong safety focus and driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install product storage, processing, and delivery equipment at customer sites.
• Demonstrate high safety standards while on customer sites and driving company vehicle.
• Supervise crane contractors and act as Lift Supervisor for lifts up to 600 tons.
• Perform brazing, piping installation, and pressure testing.
• Read engineering drawings, flow sheets, and electrical schematics.
• Provide cost reporting for material and labor expenditures.
