Job summary

Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. seeks a Customer Field Service & Construction Technician to operate primarily from a home base with 50-75% travel across the southern United States.

The role requires installing cryogenic storage systems, reading technical drawings, and ensuring safety and quality on customer sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, the ability to work independently, and excellent communication with customers.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School diploma or GED.
• Trade/technical degree or apprenticeship preferred but not required.
• Ability to pass service/pickup truck road test and DOT physical.
• Willingness to travel 75%.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; class A CDL preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Install product storage, processing, and delivery equipment at customer sites (cryogenic tanks, pumps, piping).
• Demonstrate high safety performance at customer sites and while driving company vehicle.
• Supervise crane contractors and act as Lift Supervisor for lifts up to 250 Tons.
• Read engineering drawings, flow sheets, and piping/electrical schematics.
• Provide cost reporting for materials and labor; support project readiness and documentation.
