Job summary

Air Products is seeking a Construction Technician to join the Customer Engineering team. This residence-based role requires 50–75% travel across the southern United States, with preference for candidates based in Texas (Dallas area).

The role focuses on startup, operation, maintenance, and repair of cryogenic and gaseous storage systems at customer sites. The ideal candidate will read technical drawings, manage safety, and supervise contractors for crane lifts and site installations, ensuring

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Trade or technical degree preferred, not mandatory.
• Ability to pass DOT physical and road test.
• Willingness to travel up to 75%.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Strong safety mindset with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install product storage, processing, and delivery equipment at customer sites.
• Maintain extremely high safety standards at sites and during driving.
• Supervise crane contractors and act as Lift Supervisor for lifts up to 600 standard tons.
• Demonstrate brazing, piping installation, and pressure testing techniques.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, flow sheets, and electrical schematics.
• Manage cost reporting for materials and labor; provide customer interface.
