Job summary

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is hiring a Case Management Specialist to support refugees and immigrants with trauma-informed services. The role balances two programs: PIR and Home ARP, guiding clients toward self-sufficiency through assessments, housing, medical and financial referrals.

The position requires collaboration with IRC teams, service providers, and community partners, using client-centered planning and documentation to ensure progress and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work or related field is preferred.
• Experience working with refugee and/or immigrant populations is strongly preferred.
• English proficiency, with additional language skills (e.g., Spanish) preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in an administrative role.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a personal, insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management services across PIR and Home ARP funding streams, ensuring documentation standards are met.
• Coordinate pre- and post-arrival services including housing, food, medical care, and transportation.
• Assist clients in finding and moving into permanent housing and supporting move-in processes.
• Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized self-sufficiency plans and SMART goals.
• Deliver services including financial assistance, public benefits referrals, and access to medical and mental health resources.
• Document client interactions in IRC's case management systems and assist with tracking and reporting.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers to support client needs.
• Travel within service delivery area using a personal vehicle as needed.
