Descripción de la vacante

The Broad Institute in Cambridge, MA, seeks a scientist to advance nonclinical genome-editing programs (base and prime editing) and drive data generation toward IND-enabling readiness. You will design and analyze editing experiments, lead off-target profiling, and run high-throughput screens in collaboration with disease biologists and external partners to optimize editor design and study outcomes.

Strong publication history and excellent communication skills are essential to translate complex

Formación

  • PhD in molecular biology, genetics, genome engineering, biomedical engineering, or a related field; or a Master’s with 5+ years of experience; or Bachelor’s with 7+ years of experience.
  • Proven track record of deep expertise in base editing and/or prime editing.
  • Experience with unbiased genome-wide specificity profiling methods (GUIDE-seq, Digenome-seq, CIRCLE-seq, ONE-seq, CHANGE-seq).
  • Experience designing and executing high-throughput lentiviral screens.
  • Proficiency in HTS library preparation and amplicon sequencing; able to analyze sequencing data.
  • Familiarity with preclinical/IND-enabling study design; interest in neurologic/metabolic diseases a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to translate complex genome editing science for cross-functional audiences.

Responsabilidades

  • Design, execute, and analyze experiments evaluating precision genome editing technologies across CTG programs.
  • Lead off-target and specificity profiling workstreams using genome-wide methods to inform go/no-go decisions.
  • Design and execute high-throughput screens to identify editing strategies and guide/pegRNA designs.
  • Develop and analyze high-throughput sequencing-based assays and interpret data for nonclinical packages.
  • Contribute to preclinical program strategy, including editor design and study design.
  • Evaluate emerging editing platforms and provide technical assessments for partnerships.
  • Prepare data summaries, figures, and reports for internal reviews, external reports, and regulatory submissions.
  • Mentor junior scientists and collaborate with internal and external partners.
