Qualifications

• PhD in computational biology, bioinformatics, genomics, CS; 0-2+ years industry experience (MS with extensive experience also considered).
• Python proficiency essential.
• Experience with Linux and cloud computing (AWS).
• Ability to work independently in a matrix environment.
• Commitment to scientific rigor and meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead computational biology and genomics activities in a cross-functional drug development setting.
• Develop and implement novel computational biology pipelines and methods with biologists.
• Characterize off-target gene editing for safety of CRISPR therapies.
• Generate and test hypotheses on genome-scale data using analytical methods.
• Prepare scientific reports for INDs/regulatory filings and present findings to leadership.
• Maintain computational infrastructure and cloud environments for data analysis.
• Develop internal web applications for stakeholders.
