Job summary

Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) Georgia/South Georgia is seeking a Research Program Coordinator to support the Division of Research. The RPC will coordinate research activities, help manage funded projects, and build partnerships with universities, healthcare centers and companies across GA.

This in-person role is based on the Suwanee campus with occasional travel to PCOM South Georgia and PCOM Philadelphia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 3 years of research experience.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong networking and communication skills.
• Ability to travel to PCOM South Georgia and Philadelphia as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute research events at PCOM GA/SGA, including webinars and Research Day.
• Manage internally-funded research projects, including fund allocation, progress reporting and resource procurement.
• Cultivate collaborative relationships with PCOM GA/SGA faculty and students to expand research programs.
• Promote partnerships within Georgia's scientific and healthcare communities to increase research opportunities for students.
• Assist faculty in development and submission of research proposals for extramural funding.
• Maintain a database of faculty and student publications, presentations and grants for accreditation reporting.
• Develop the annual budget for research needs, including equipment requests.
• Manage lab staff and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
