Planned Parenthood Mar Monte seeks a Health Services Specialist I to join the B Street Health Center team in Sacramento, CA. The role provides direct service in health center areas including reproductive health and abortion as appropriate to scope of services and centers.

Responsibilities include delivering accurate information on Planned Parenthood services, assisting with scheduling and billing, and documenting patient history while upholding customer service standards and productivity goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to communicate sensitive information across diverse backgrounds (verbal and written).
• General knowledge of Windows-based computer applications; willingness to learn new computer skills.
• Ability to work in a busy environment, handle mult ple tasks with accuracy and respect for patients and staff.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct service in health center areas including sexual and reproductive health and abortion, as appropriate to scope of services.
• Provide patients with accurate information regarding Planned Parenthood services, including contraception, options, and funding sources.
• Contribute to achieving health center productivity goals.
• Screen financial, medical and social history with correct documentation of pertinent information.
• Demonstrate PPMM customer service standards; solicit donations per guidelines.
• Follow patient care standards.
• Communicate professionally about services, payment and appointment scheduling; manage paperwork and billing.
• Enter accurate patient information into the Electronic Practice Management System (EPM) and arrange appointments.
• Assist in check-in/check-out processes at front office and lab as needed.
