Job summary

Kemper Corporation is seeking a Commercial Casualty Adjuster – Represented to investigate, evaluate, and negotiate attorney-represented bodily injury and uninsured motorist auto claims. The role requires advanced claim handling, strong analytical abilities, and knowledge of state laws and policy language.

Minimum three years of casualty claim experience and the ability to work independently or with a team are essential.

Qualifications

Minimum of three years casualty claim experience in auto insurance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and web-based applications.
Must obtain and maintain state required licensing.
Initiative, sound judgement, and discretion.
Comprehensive understanding of auto insurance policies and knowledge of relevant state laws.
Strong analytical and negotiation skills; effective communicator.
Excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

Conduct investigation of claims and determine coverage and liability.
Develop settlement strategies and communicate with insureds, claimants, attorneys, body shops, medical providers.
Attend depositions/mediation/arbitration/trials when needed.
Document progression of each claim and set bodily injury reserves.
Collaborate with various departments to move claims toward final resolution.
Mentor and provide staff training.
