Job summary

Kemper is seeking a Commercial Casualty Adjuster – Represented in multiple locations including Birmingham, AL. The role investigates, evaluates, and negotiates bodily injury and uninsured motorist claims with complex coverage issues, requiring independent judgment and strong analytic skills.

You will mentor staff, collaborate with departments, and uphold regulatory knowledge while delivering timely settlements aligned with authority limits and company policies.

Qualifications

• Understanding of auto insurance policy language and state laws.
• Experience handling casualty auto claims with analytical judgment.
• Ability to communicate clearly with insureds, attorneys and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Investigate claims of varying complexity following policy language and guidelines.
• Develop settlement strategies and negotiate with parties.
• Document claim progress and establish reserves within authority.
• Collaborate with departments to move claims toward final resolution.
• Mentor staff and provide training as needed.
