Kemper Corporation seeks a Commercial Casualty Adjuster – Represented to investigation, evaluation, and negotiation of attorney represented bodily injury and uninsured motorist commercial vehicle claims. Requires advanced claim handling skills and knowledge of commercial vehicle policies.

The role includes developing settlement strategies, attending legal proceedings as needed, mentoring staff, and collaborating across departments to move claims toward final resolution.

Qualifications

• Understanding of insurance policies and state laws in auto claims.
• 3+ years of casualty claim experience in auto insurance.
• Ability to investigate, evaluate and negotiate represented bodily injury claims.

Responsibilities

• Investigate claims of varying complexity and assess coverage and liability.
• Develop strategies to resolve coverage, liability, injury, and property damage.
• Review endorsements and policy language to verify coverage and make decisions within authority.
• Negotiate settlement information with insureds, claimants, attorneys, and others.
• Attend depositions, mediation, arbitration, and trials when needed.
• Document claim progression and reserve setting for bodily injury claims.
