Job summary

Westlake Financial in Las Vegas, NV, is seeking a Repossession Skip Trace Agent to locate delinquent borrowers and collateral using skip tracing tools and public records. This on-site role requires keen investigative skills and meticulous casework.

You will work with recovery agents, collections, and legal teams, ensure compliance with FDCPA, FCRA, GLBA, and internal policies, and maintain detailed files while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in skip tracing, collections, repossession, or related field.
• Proficient with skip tracing tools (e.g., TLOxp, LexisNexis, Clear, IDI CORE, etc.)
• Strong computer and internet research skills.
• Knowledge of FDCPA, FCRA, and repossession laws.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Use skip tracing databases, public records, and investigative tools to locate individuals and/or collateral.
• Verify and analyze information to confirm accuracy of addresses, employment, relatives, and associates.
• Maintain accurate, detailed case files with all efforts, contacts, and findings.
• Communicate findings with repossession agents and coordinate recovery efforts.
• Work closely with internal departments to support recovery and minimize losses.
• Follow all applicable laws and regulations, including FDCPA, GLBA, FCRA, and privacy guidelines.
• Perform outbound calls and emails to references, employers, and known contacts when appropriate and compliant.
• Identify patterns or trends that may indicate location strategies for hard-to-find accounts.
• Maintain productivity, compliance, and quality metrics as defined by department standards.
• Assist in updating and maintaining skip tracing software tools and lead sources.
