Job summary

Dooly County School System in Georgia seeks a REP Teacher to provide high-quality instruction aligned with the Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE). The role focuses on closing learning gaps in reading, writing, speaking, listening, and critical thinking through targeted remediation.

The REP Teacher will monitor student progress, collaborate with families and staff, and coordinate implementation to ensure MTSS compliance and district goals for literacy development and career readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; Master’s degree preferred.
• Georgia Teaching Certificate in one of the following: Professional Certification (Grades 6–12), Elementary Ed (1–8), Middle Grades (4–8), Secondary Ed (7–12), Reading Specialist (K–12) with Reading Endorsement or Field Code 732/833.
• Minimum of three years teaching experience; Gifted and ESOL certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver targeted, standards-based instruction aligned with the Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE) for English Language Arts.
• Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners including English learners and students below grade level.
• Use formative and summative assessments to monitor progress and inform instruction.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and PLCs to support student growth and MTSS.
• Prepare students for state and local assessments with targeted remediation and skills reinforcement.
