POSITION SUMMARY

The Reading Specialist Teacher provides specialized instruction in reading and literacy, conducts assessments to evaluate student progress, and collaborates with educators to support comprehensive literacy development across all grade levels. This role plays a pivotal part in fostering a nurturing learning environment where every student can achieve reading proficiency.

CERTIFICATE/LICENSE/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate must have a Master's degree or higher from an accredited college/university, a valid Georgia Teaching Certificate, and completion of all required VCS Rollins Structured Literacy modules. The preferred candidate holds at least one of the following: Reading endorsement (aligned to structured literacy), Dyslexia endorsement (Orton-Gillingham Level 2 certification), LETRS certification (or similar program).
