Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in History, Political Science, Social Studies, Education, or a related field.
• Georgia Professional Educator Certificate in History, Political Science, Economics or related field (6–12 or appropriate grade band) or eligibility for certification.
• Knowledge of the Georgia Standards of Excellence for Social Studies.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based history and social studies instruction aligned to the Georgia Standards of Excellence.
• Develop lessons that promote historical inquiry, analysis of primary and secondary sources, and understanding of historical perspectives.
• Foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and civic literacy skills.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including students with disabilities, English Learners, and gifted students.
• Integrate literacy strategies, including reading comprehension, writing, and discussion, within social studies instruction.
• Utilize instructional technology and digital resources to enhance student engagement and learning.

Education
