RDO Equipment Co. is hiring a Rental Triage Technician in Riverside, CA. You will be the first line of service for equipment returning from rent, inspecting condition, identifying service needs, and performing quality repairs to ensure fast, reliable turnaround.

Bring strong mechanical experience and a sense of urgency. You will document conditions, coordinate repair paths, and support fleet readiness while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualificações

• Relevant mechanical experience in repair or maintenance of heavy equipment.
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills with understanding of equipment operation and diagnostics.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize changing work demands.
• Accurate documentation and clear written/verbal communication.

Responsabilidades

What You Will Do:

• Inspect and triage returning rental equipment: identify damage, maintenance needs, service issues, and safety concerns.
• Document equipment condition and repairs accurately: complete condition reports and open, update, and close work orders with clear details on findings, repairs, parts, and fluids used.
• Direct equipment through the appropriate repair path: coordinate movement between the yard, service shop, wash rack, ready line, and delivery staging areas.
• Complete quality maintenance and repairs: prioritize work based on safety, operational needs, and fleet readiness, then verify equipment is safe and operational before returning it to service.
• Support rental fleet availability: assist with PDI/RDI processes, damage estimates, customer-service opportunities, and complex repairs when triage workload permits.
• Relevant mechanical experience: previous repair and troubleshooting experience with construction, rental, or similar heavy equipment is required.
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills: working knowledge of equipment operation, maintenance, diagnostics, mechanical repair, and trade-specific tooling.
• Ability to work independently: prioritize changing work demands, diagnose service issues, and complete maintenance and repairs safely and efficiently.
• Accurate documentation and communication: strong computer, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Technical training preferred: diesel, heavy equipment, automotive, or related technical training or certification is preferred.
• Valid work authorization: Candidates must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
