Job summary

Ohio CAT Rental Store is seeking a Rental Asset Coordinator to prioritize and coordinate maintenance and repair for our rental fleet. You will work with Service, Parts and Rental Operations to ensure assets are available, serviced, and ready for customers.

The role emphasizes strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with a focus on reducing downtime and improving fleet profitability. A valid driver’s license and knowledge of Caterpillar equipment are important assets.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Caterpillar equipment/rental industry experience preferred.
• Experience with rental/service operations systems.
• Understanding of lifecycle management and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Customer service mindset and cross-department collaboration.
• Collaborative work with Rental, Service, Parts and Sales.
• Familiarity with Caterpillar warranty processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to analyze maintenance/repair data for fleet decisions.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize, monitor, and track maintenance and repair for rental equipment.
• Act as liaison between Rental Department and Product Support for timely service.
• Communicate fleet needs to improve availability and utilization.
• Manage maintenance schedules and repair status to reduce downtime.
• Support lifecycle costs and profitability for equipment rollouts and dispositions.
