Job summary

catholic Charities in Sunnyside, WA seeks a full-time Maintenance Technician to handle daily property upkeep and repair tasks. You will perform routine maintenance, respond to work orders, and keep units and common areas in good condition for rent-ready turnover.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, basic knowledge of mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems, and a WA driver’s license. Bilingual skills are a plus; on-site work schedule is Monday–Friday with on-call emergencies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior maintenance experience or experience in a related field.
• Working knowledge of building maintenance and systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing).
• Adherence to EPA/OSHA regulations for hazardous materials handling.
• Ability to use a tablet/computer to complete work orders.
• Valid WA driver’s license and insurance; insurability required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain physical condition of the property and grounds.
• Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance per manuals.
• Turnover and occupancy maintenance for vacant/occupied units.
• Inspect units, buildings, and common areas and perform repairs as needed.
• Assist with water/sewer line repairs and minor carpentry, electrical, plumbing tasks.
• Respond to emergencies on-call and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Maintain supplies and coordinate with Facilities Manager and Community Manager.
