Job summary

Catholic Charities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to care for the Juan Pablo II, New Life Villa, and Mabton Migrant properties. The role is on-site, Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with on-call emergencies.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, repairs, and safety checks to ensure safe, clean living environments. The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED, prior maintenance experience, and basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior maintenance experience.
• Basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry knowledge.
• EPA and OSHA regulations knowledge.
• Able to use a tablet to complete work orders.

Responsibilities

• Maintain physical condition of the property.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment per manufacturer and manuals.
• Vacant unit turnover maintenance as directed.
• Occupied unit maintenance as specified by Facilities Manager.
• Preventative maintenance as specified by Facilities Manager.
• Notify the Facilities Manager of any issues.
• Inspect units and common areas and perform repairs as needed.
• Shovel snow and maintain exterior areas and lighting.
• Repair flooring, sheetrock, plumbing, and electrical as required.
• Assist contractors with water/sewer line repairs and painting.
