Job summary

Catholic Charities of Central Washington seeks a Maintenance Technician to care for a 51-unit property in Sunnyside, WA. You will perform day‑to‑day upkeep, ensure units are rent‑ready, maintain grounds, and complete work orders under the Facilities Manager's direction.

Responsibilities include routine repairs, preventative maintenance, and on‑call support for emergencies, with emphasis on safety, timely task completion, and coordina­tion with vendors and staff.

Qualifications

• Requires working knowledge of building maintenance.
• Basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing and carpentry knowledge.
• Adhere to laws and OSHA/ EPA regulations for hazardous materials.
• Able to use a tablet/computer to complete work orders.

Responsibilities

• Maintain physical condition of the property.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance per manuals.
• Turnover maintenance for vacant units as directed.
• Maintain grounds and exterior lighting.
• Repair floors, walls, fixtures and appliances as needed.
• Shovel snow; manage on-call emergencies as required.
• Ensure safety rules are followed and storage areas are secure.
