Job summary

Catholic Charities in Sunnyside, WA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to handle day-to-day upkeep of the property, ensuring units are rent-ready and common areas are maintained. You will perform preventive and routine maintenance, respond to work orders, and coordinate with the Facilities Manager to keep buildings safe and functional.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, prior maintenance experience, and knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry basics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior maintenance experience or related field.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry basics.
• Adherence to safety regulations and EPA/OSHA rules.
• Able to use tablets/computers for work orders.

Responsibilities

• Maintain physical condition of the property.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance per manuals.
• Handle vacant unit turnover and occupied unit maintenance.
• Shovel snow and manage exterior grounds; light landscaping.
• Repair flooring, painting, drywall, electrical and plumbing tasks.
• Assist contractors and communicate with the Facilities Manager.
• Ensure safety, lock storage areas, and maintain lighting.
