Job summary

Sonatype is a fast-growing software company based in Nashville seeking a Renewal Specialist to manage on-time renewals and expansions. You will collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Accounting to secure renewals while preserving profitability.

You will analyze usage data and renewal history to propose optimal options, engage early to prevent churn, and guide customers through renewal quotes and contracting steps.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume renewal environment.
• Ability to discuss contract terms, expansions, and pricing.
• Extreme attention to detail to ensure accurate renewals.
• Willingness to support global customers across time zones.
• Interest in software development and related technologies.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Sales, Customer Success, and Accounting to efficiently close a set of renewals and related expansions.
• Review customer renewal information, usage data, and subscription history to ensure mutual agreement on renewal options.
• Proactively identify future renewals, connecting with the customer well before expiration to ensure on-time execution.
• Educate customers on renewal options based on their current and future product/service goals.
• Coordinate preparation of renewal quotes and ordering documents per Sonatype’s policies.
