Job summary

Emerson is seeking a sales professional with experience in utility-scale Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage (BESS), or wind projects to join the Power & Water Solutions Renewables team in North America. You will own a portfolio of accounts within your home region with national reach as opportunities arise, driving growth of the PWS renewables business.

You will identify opportunities, collaborate with customers, deliver demos, develop competitive strategies, and maintain CRM forecasts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 3 years of sales or business development experience.
• Minimum of 3 years in renewable energy, power generation, or industrial automation.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 75%.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities by mapping the market and engaging potential customers.
• Collaborate with existing customers to uncover new projects where Emerson PWS solutions deliver value.
• Develop competitive strategies by providing differentiation insights, pricing recommendations, and leading negotiations.
• Deliver technical presentations and demos to showcase new products, enhancements, and services.
• Recommend tailored technology and service solutions to meet specific customer requirements.
• Stay informed on industry trends and share updates with PWS management to guide strategic decisions.
• Represent Emerson at professional meetings, trade shows, and conferences.
• Achieve annual bookings and margin objectives within your territory.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts and update the CRM system regularly.
