Job summary

MasTec Renewables seeks a Director of Project Controls to lead the project controls department within its renewables portfolio. This role drives earned value management, scheduling, cost control, and forecasting for complex projects and develops the controls talent pipeline.

You will oversee a growing team and partner with operations and estimating to optimize performance, data integrity, and strategic outcomes across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in project management, construction management, engineering or related field.
• PMP/PSP PSPPMI-SP certifications preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in project management and/or project controls.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience.
• Renewable energy construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take health and safety seriously and lead the project controls team to support zero injury goals.
• Lead back-office project controls including earned value, budgeting, scheduling, forecasting, and change management.
• Oversee scheduling, baseline development, progress reports, and manpower forecasts.
• Ensure accurate data and real-time reporting of costs, productivity, and schedule performance.
• Develop and validate project estimates with estimating and operations teams.
• Provide training, audits, and governance for project controls processes and tools.
• Collaborate with directors and leadership on budgeting and strategic planning.
