Job summary

MasTec Renewables seeks a Director of Project Controls to lead the Project Controls Department for renewables, overseeing earned value management, schedule management, cost & change controls, and forecasting. The role includes talent development for the team and implementing best practices across the organization.

The position reports to senior leadership and will drive data-driven decision making, reporting accuracy, and process improvements across multiple projects and locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering or related major.
• PMP/PSP/PSPPMI-SP certification preferred.
• 15+ years in project management or project controls.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience.
• Renewable energy construction experience preferred.
• Safety-conscious and health guidance adherence.
• Proficient in MS Office; Primavera P6; InEight suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead the back-office project controls team across EV, budgeting, scheduling, forecasting, and change management.
• Supervise project scheduling, baselines, labor forecasts, and progress reporting.
• Ensure data integrity for costs, productivity, and forecast reports.
• Coordinate estimates with estimating and operations teams.
• Develop and implement project controls procedures and reporting.
• Provide training and mentoring within the controls team.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to guide controls decisions.
