Job summary

MasTec Renewables is seeking a Director of Project Controls to lead the Project Controls Department across renewables projects. This executive role focuses on earned value, scheduling, cost and change management, forecasting, and talent development for the project controls team.

The position anchors at a corporate office with up to 30% travel to regional offices or sites and requires strategic leadership within the company’s project controls framework and safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in project management and/or project controls.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience.
• Renewable energy construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Project Controls Department as a senior functional leader and mentor to a senior staff.
• Direct back-office controls: earned value, budgeting, scheduling, forecasting, change management and cost control.
• Oversee schedule development, baselining, progress reporting, and trend analysis.
• Ensure data-driven reporting and timely, accurate project performance insights.
• Coordinate with estimating and operations for cost estimates and forecasts.
• Develop, implement, and improve project controls systems, processes and SOPs.
• Provide training, audits, and support for project controls across the organization.
• Foster stakeholder relationships and strategic leadership involvement.
