Job summary

ENGIE North America Inc. is seeking a Grid Integration Engineer, Advisor - Renewables to bridge renewable generation and grid reliability across the U.S. and Canada.

The role leads dynamic simulation modeling and interconnection studies, partnering with OEMs, consultants, and utilities to ensure compliant, efficient integration of wind, solar, and BESS assets. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Power, Energy, Mechanical, Civil, Systems Engineering, or related).
• Minimum of seven years of engineering experience, including at least three years supporting NERC Reliability Standards.
• Experience developing and managing dynamic simulation models using PSCAD, PSS/E, TSAT or similar tools for renewables and energy storage.
• Experience leading power system, transient stability, and interconnection studies with engineering solutions.
• Knowledge of NERC, ISO/RTO, AGIR and IEEE standards for grid integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, validation, maintenance, and governance of dynamic simulation models (PSCAD, PSS/E, TSAT) for renewables assets with OEMs and consultants.
• Manage power system and interconnection studies across the project lifecycle ensuring regulatory compliance and design alignment.
• Serve as Grid Integration SME, guiding inverter-based resource performance, ride-through, reactive power, and plant controls.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Development, Operations, OEMs, utilities, and stakeholders on interconnection activities.
• Develop and standardize processes, modeling practices, and technical requirements for interconnection and grid reliability.
• Monitor regulatory and industry developments (NERC, ISO/RTO, AGIR, IEEE) and translate into actionable requirements.
• Lead projects and initiatives, delivering on schedule and within budget while maintaining quality and safety.
