Job summary

Enbridge seeks an experienced Technical Manager, Renewable Interconnection & Electrical Design, to lead utility-scale wind, solar, and energy storage interconnections in North America. You will guide studies, substation designs, and high‑voltage assets, coordinating with ISOs, utilities, and project teams to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions.

You will review power system studies, mentor engineers, and influence procurement for major equipment while navigating regulatory

Qualifications

• University degree in engineering (preferably electrical).
• Registered Professional Engineer in Canada or the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead interconnection activities with utilities, ISOs, and RTOs from studies through negotiations.
• Develop conceptual designs and cost estimates for high-voltage interconnections, substations, and transmission assets.
• Conduct or review power system studies (power flow, short-circuit, arc-flash, protection coordination, grounding).
• Provide technical leadership across internal teams, consultants, and vendors.
• Support procurement of high-voltage equipment with technical bid packages and vendor evaluation.
• Deliver practical recommendations balancing safety, reliability, cost, and long-term asset performance.
• Track milestones, identify risks, and pursue design/execution improvements.
