Job summary

ENGIE North America Inc. is seeking a Grid Integration Engineer to advance dynamic simulation models for wind, solar, and BESS projects across the U.S. and Canada.

You will lead studies, ensure compliance with interconnection requirements, and collaborate with OEMs and consultants to deliver reliable grid integration solutions. You will apply expertise in PSCAD, PSS/E, and TSAT, support a range of interconnection activities, and drive standardized engineering practices across the project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of engineering experience, including at least three (3) years supporting NERC Reliability Standards.
• Experience developing and managing dynamic simulation models for renewable energy and storage projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, validation, maintenance, and governance of dynamic simulation models (PSCAD, PSS/E, TSAT) for wind, solar, and BESS assets with OEMs and consultants.
• Manage power system and interconnection studies through the project lifecycle.
• Serve as Grid Integration SME on inverter-based resource performance, ride-through, reactive power, and plant controls.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Development, Operations, OEMs, utilities, and stakeholders to support interconnection activities.
• Develop, enhance, and standardize engineering processes, modeling practices, and technical requirements.
