Job summary

DNV Energy Systems seeks a Senior Resource Integration Engineer to shape the future of power systems in North America. The role leads technical studies and commercial projects, delivering insights across generation, transmission, and interconnection contexts.

You will guide a team, engage with clients, attend stakeholder meetings, and contribute to innovative methods in grid reliability and energy markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant experience with electric power systems.
• Hands-on experience with PSS/E, TARA, PSLF, Power-world and PSCAD.
• Transmission and/or distribution planning analyses experience.
• Knowledge of North American ISO/RTO markets and interconnection practices.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Pre-employment drug and background screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform steady-state, dynamic, short-circuit and EMT studies for generation resources.
• Lead studies for power flow, stability, short-circuit, EMT, harmonics and techno-economics.
• Lead script development and troubleshoot to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
• Collaborate with team and manage billable hours and project schedules.
• Serve as SME for grid reliability or energy markets.
• Conduct generator interconnection studies per ISOs/RTOs requirements.
• Guide team on generation/interconnection modeling principles.
• Attend stakeholder meetings and stay updated on market changes.
• Contribute to R&D of new techniques and tools.
• Cultivate customer relationships and support RFP/SOQ processes.
