Job summary

DNV Energy Systems in North America is seeking a Senior Resource Integration Engineer to advance power system studies for renewables and grids. You will lead model development for PSCAD, PSS/E, PSLF, and other tools, and drive project delivery with a strong customer focus.

The role involves collaborating across teams, leading technical studies for interconnection and grid reliability, and traveling up to 10% to meet clients and sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering (required).
• 5+ years of relevant experience in electric power systems and renewables.
• Hands-on experience with power-system tools: PSS/E, TARA, PSLF, PowerWorld, PSCAD.
• Knowledge of North American ISO/RTO markets, interconnection practices and NERC standards.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Perform steady state, dynamic, short-circuit and PSCAD model development for renewables and conventional generation.
• Lead studies for power flow, transient stability, short-circuit, EMT, harmonics and related areas.
• Guide and mentor team members; manage commercial aspects like billable hours.
• Engage with customers, prepare responses to RFPs, and support tenders/bids.
