Job summary

BUILD Renewables is seeking a Field Engineer Intern to support active solar construction projects. You will assist with field operations, project documentation, QA/QC, production tracking, and coordination under experienced field engineers, superintendents, and project managers.

The ideal candidate is eager to learn, enjoys outdoor work, and aims to pursue a career in construction management, engineering, or renewable energy.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a two-year or four-year program in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Willingness to travel to and live near active project sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist with field operations, project documentation, quality assurance, production tracking, and coordination activities.
• Prepare and maintain daily field reports and project documentation.
• Support QA/QC activities, verify installations against drawings and specs, assist with punch lists and turnover.
• Attend project coordination meetings and communicate with team members and subcontractors.
• Learn project scheduling, budgeting, and construction management fundamentals.

Education

Two-year or Four-year program in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
