MasTec Renewables seeks students in construction-related BS programs for a 12-week on-site program supporting field engineers on wind and solar projects. You will inspect, report on conditions, and help ensure QA/QC conformance across projects in the US.

The role requires organization, basic engineering knowledge, and the ability to document daily activities. Per diem is provided while working conditions may include exposure to hazards and variable shifts.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a BS degree program studying Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical procedures.
Write daily reports and document project activities.

Responsabilités

Promote and comply with all Company safety policies and procedures.
Assist with the inspection quality of work performed during daily activities of the overall construction on wind and solar projects.
Demonstrate good organizational, planning and time management skills.
Plan and conduct daily activities to ensure QC and QA data are properly recorded.
Identify and address deficiencies in a timely manner.
Act as field representative to ensure construction complies with QA/QC requirements.
Interface with field foreman to monitor job progress and maintain communication.
Assist in creating operation manuals/files and contact lists for components.
Maintain complete records during inspections for transfer to permanent files.
Inspect work and help establish punch lists.
Assist in determining calibration status of measuring/testing equipment.
Interact with Field Engineers and team members cross-functionally.
Other duties as assigned.
