Job summary

MasTec Renewables is seeking a hands-on Field Inspector-in-Training to work alongside Field Engineers on wind, solar, and other renewables projects. This 12-week program puts you on US job sites with a daily per diem, under supervision, learning QA/QC and reporting.

You will develop inspection records, assist with punch lists, and coordinate with field staff while pursuing a Bachelor’s in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.

Qualifications

• Safety awareness and following zero-injury principles.
• Read, analyze and interpret blueprints and technical procedures.
• Write daily reports documenting project activities.
• Plan and conduct organized daily activities with QA/QC data.

Responsibilities

• Promote and comply with all safety policies.
• Assist inspection quality during construction of wind/solar projects.
• Demonstrate strong organization, planning and time management.
• Record QA/QC data accurately.
• Coordinate with field engineers and foremen on progress.
• Create operations and maintenance documentation as needed.
• Maintain complete inspection records for transfer to files.
• Inspect work and help establish punch lists.
• Assist in determining calibration status of measuring/testing equipment.
• Interact with cross-functional teams on site.
