Job summary

Xcel Energy is offering an internship focused on Renewable Generation. The intern will work with engineering staff to support reliable and efficient operations of renewable generation assets. The role is entry level in project management and involves collaboration with Hydro, Wind and Solar Operations and Energy Supply Projects.

The position runs with a May 24, 2027 start date and may extend based on performance and business needs. A hybrid work arrangement and in-person commuting are supported.

Qualifications

• Currently a student pursuing Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering in an ABET-accredited program.
• Available for full-time summer work (up to 40 hours/week) and part-time during the school year (up to 20 hours/week).
• Must be able to travel to renewable facilities at least 25% of the time across WI, MN, ND and SD.
