Job summary

Xcel Energy in Minnesota is offering a MPG-FA Project Intern role that supports wind, solar, battery storage, and combustion turbine projects across phases of execution. You will assist with project coordination, data collection, reporting, and field construction support under senior staff guidance.

The internship runs during the summer with a possible extension based on performance. Applicants must be enrolled in ABET-accredited programs and be available for full-time summer work or part-time

Qualifications

• Enrolled in ABET-accredited college/university pursuing Engineering/Construction/PM related degree.
• Travel within TX/NM region.
• Available to work full-time during summer (up to 40 hrs/week) or part-time during school year (up to 20 hrs/week).

Responsibilities

• Support project teams with tracking, reporting, and documentation.
• Conduct field visits to observe construction sites and safety practices.
• Collaborate with project managers, coordinators, engineers, and contractors.
• Learn project development and construction processes for wind, solar, battery storage, and combustion turbines.
• Complete tasks under supervision following established procedures and safety requirements.
