Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking candidates for a Reliability Engineering - Renewables internship in Minnesota. The paid internship offers hands-on experience with a 7.5GW renewable asset fleet, including analytics, SCADA support, and new plant setup.

You will present to senior leadership and collaborate with internal stakeholders across the Performance Optimization and Renewable Operations groups. Typical responsibilities include fleet analytics, SCADA support, failure rate calculations, and evaluating

Qualifications

• Enrolled in ABET accredited engineering program.
• Able to work full-time during summer (40 hours/week) and part-time during school year (10 hours/week).
• Eligible to commute to designated work location per hybrid policy.

Responsibilities

• Fleet reliability analytics using Bazefield and Aveva PI platforms.
• SCADA support and new plant setup support.
• Performing component failure rate calculations and evaluating new technologies.
