Job summary

McKinstry is seeking a Construction Project Engineer for our Distributed Energy Renewables (DER) National division. You will support RFPs, track and staff projects, review contracts and drawings, and coordinate procurement with vendors, subcontractors, and the project team.

Responsibilities include developing scopes of work, site setup, project administration, closeout, and preparing monthly financials. You will communicate with architects, engineers and owners to assist the Project Manager and

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management or comparable degree-or-equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of construction concepts.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Project; SharePoint preferred.
• Customer service or office administration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Request for Proposal (RFP) and procurement processes.
• Track current and future jobs and project staffing.
• Review contracts, drawings, specifications to answer questions.
• Coordinate equipment procurement with purchasing and outside vendors.
• Assist in development of Scope of Work for subcontractors.
• Coordinate job set-up, site mobilization, project administration and closeout.
• Assist in preparation of monthly financial reporting.
• Communicate with Architect, Engineer and Owner to assist the Project Manager.
• Coordinate field activities of self-performed and subcontracted work.
