Job summary

McKinstry is seeking a Construction Project Engineer for our Distributed Energy Renewables (DER) National division. You will coordinate proposals, track jobs, review drawings, and manage field activities with subcontractors, vendors, and the project team.

The role requires a BA/BS in a related field or equivalent experience, plus knowledge of construction concepts and MS Office/Project tools. A strong customer-service mindset is preferred, and safety compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management or comparable degree.
• Knowledge of construction concepts.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Project; working knowledge of SharePoint preferred.
• Customer service and/or office administration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement processes and RFP responses.
• Track current and future jobs and staffing needs.
• Review contracts, drawings, specs, and resources to answer questions.
• Coordinate equipment procurement with purchasing and outside vendors to order and expedite material.
• Assist in development of Scope of Work for subcontractors.
• Coordinate job setup, site mobilization, project administration and closeout.
• Assist in preparation of monthly financial reporting.
