Job summary

McKinstry is seeking a Construction Project Engineer to join their Distributed Energy Renewables (DER) National division in the United States. The role focuses on project coordination, documentation, and safety, supporting PMs and coordinating trades on diverse DER projects.

You will review drawings, manage RFIs, prepare submittals, and help with monthly financial reporting while ensuring safety standards and client communications are maintained.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret construction plans, specs, contracts and estimates.
• Degree in Construction Management or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Project; SharePoint preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Request for Proposal (RFP) and procurement processes.
• Track current and future jobs and project staffing needs.
• Review contracts, drawings, specs to answer questions.
• Coordinate procurement with vendors to order and expedite material.
• Assist in development of Scope of Work for subcontractors.
• Coordinate job setup, site mobilization, and closeout.
