Job summary

McKinstry is seeking a Construction Project Engineer for the Distributed Energy Renewables National division in Minneapolis, MN. You will support RFPs, track jobs, review contracts and specs, coordinate equipment procurement, and assist in project setup, closeout, and reporting.

You will work with architects, engineers and owners, helping the Project Manager with daily duties and field activities. A BA/BS in Construction Management or related field is required, along with strong MS Office and

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Construction Management or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of construction concepts required.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Project; SharePoint preferred.
• Customer service or office administration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support RFP and procurement processes.
• Track current and future jobs and staffing requirements.
• Review contracts, drawings, specifications and resources to answer questions.
• Coordinate equipment procurement with purchasing and vendors.
• Develop Scope of Work for subcontractors.
• Coordinate job setup, site mobilization, administration and closeout.
• Support scheduling and coordination of trades.
• Coordinate McKinstry scope with drawings and specs.
• Prepare monthly financial reporting and project closeout materials.
• Communicate with Architect, Engineer and Owner; assist Project Manager.
