Job summary

Meta is seeking an Energy Analytics Manager to join its Global Energy team in the United States. You will own the renewable energy data portfolio, forecast energy cost and generation, and collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and cross-functional partners to support financial reporting and planning.

You will build scalable analytics tools, work with vendors on settlements and invoices, and help report on energy purchases, consumption, and progress toward renewable energy targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, energy, or a relevant technical discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in energy analysis, energy finance, or renewable energy portfolio management.
• Experience with renewable energy settlements, energy contract management, renewable energy tracking systems and/or invoicing.
• Experience analyzing and interpreting renewable energy cost and generation data, virtual PPAs, green tariffs, and wholesale energy market data.
• Experienced in building data foundations and analytical tools.
• Experience in Excel/Google Sheets and working with large data sets.
• Experience in building cross-functional relationships.
• Experience with PowerPoint/Google Slides and presenting quantitative data.

Responsibilities

• Own the renewable energy data portfolio. Track, analyze and report on project gross cost, net cost, generation, availability, and profitability.
• Create and maintain forecasts of energy cost and generation from renewable energy projects to support budget and planning efforts.
• Work with Finance and Accounting to provide renewable energy financial information for reports.
• Provide insight for ad-hoc inquiries from cross-functional partners.
• Build scalable tools and processes to enhance analytical efficiency and scale portfolio performance analytics.
• Coordinate with 3rd party vendors to validate and analyze monthly settlements and energy invoices.
• Engage utilities and suppliers to ensure timely payment of invoices and resolve issues.
• Coordinate reporting on renewable energy purchases, consumption, and REC retirement, and progress toward targets.
