Job summary

Southern Power is seeking an Engineer / Analyst – Renewable Asset Management to oversee the financial, operational, and strategic performance of renewable energy assets across Solar and Wind portfolios.

You will track revenues and expenses, manage budgets, and identify cost-saving opportunities while coordinating with O&M teams to ensure high availability and performance. This role requires strong analytics and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of power plant operations or asset management experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with contract management.
• Ability to manage multiple medium to large projects from planning through completion.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial, operational, and strategic performance of renewable assets (Solar and Wind).
• Track revenue, expenses, and asset profitability; monitor budgets and forecasts.
• Identify cost-saving and revenue-optimizing opportunities.
• Coordinate with O&M teams to ensure high availability and performance.
• Support due diligence for asset acquisitions and new development projects.
• Produce regular performance reports and benchmark against industry standards.
